CLIMATE CHANGE LITIGATION DATABASES - SABIN CENTER (in English)

The Platform offers two databases of climate change litigation: one covering cases in the United States and another covering cases in the rest of the world. The cases are organized by various criteria. Links are available to court decisions, complaints, and other case documents.

 

The Sabin Center for Climate Change Law, housed at Columbia Law School, develops legal strategies to combat climate change, trains law students and attorneys in their use, and provides the public with up-to-date resources on key issues in climate law and regulation. It works closely with scientists at Columbia University’s Earth Institute and with governmental, nongovernmental, and academic organizations.

 

 

 

CLIMATE CHANGE LAWS OF THE WORLD - GRAHAM RESEARCH INSTITUTE (en inglés)

El mapa de las Leyes de Cambio Climático del Mundo ofrece un mapa interactivo con las leyes y políticas climáticas y los casos de litigio climático en el mundo, que pueden buscarse usando diferentes indicadores.

 

El Graham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment fue establecido por la London School of Economics (LSE) como centro multidisciplinario líder mundial para la investigación y capacitación en políticas sobre cambio climático y ambiente. Reúne la experiencia internacional de LSE, incluyendo economía, finanzas, geografía, medio ambiente, ciencia, derecho, relaciones internacionales, desarrollo y ciencias políticas.

 

 

 

CLIMATE LITIGATION PLATFORM IN BRAZIL - JUMA/PUC-RIO (in Portuguese)

A database that compiles information on climate litigation in Brazilian courts. To be considered climate litigation and included in the platform, a case must have been filed with the Brazilian judiciary and be directly related to climate change, whether as a central or peripheral issue.

 

The Research Group on Law, Environment, and Justice in the Anthropocene (JUMA) at the Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro produces expert knowledge on topics related to environmental and climate issues in the context of the Anthropocene. Its goal is to contribute to the fight against socio-environmental and climate injustice through a critical analysis of the challenges facing the law in the face of the complex scenario of environmental and climate crises.
